I am flying in the morning - one of my biggest fears. I mean I just hate it. My last flight was horrible and I had a huge panic attack. I know when it is your time to go, it is your time to go...but I can't help but worry. If anyone would say a prayer for us I would really appreciate it! Thanks.

Jess,

My prayers and thoughts will be with you. Be safe and have a great time where ever you are going. You are going to be just fine. Where are you going? Anywhere nice?

I'm sorry Jess that I didn't see your post here until today- I'm sending my prayers that your flights today go well and that you don't get too panicked. My first flight ever I was so petrified..and then I got on working as a ticket agent for an airline, but I could only get a part-time position and needing to pay back college loans and such I finally saw them advertise that they needed flight attendants. It would be a huge pay increase and a full time job instead of the three part time ones I had..but I was so scared..I thought what would I be out and if I didn't get over my fear of flying I could always come back to my ticketing job. After about two weeks in training and being in the air constantly..holding people's hand like you-who were petrified..and offering words of comfort.....I overcame my fear of flying. I was a flight attendant for 5 1/2 years..married a wonderful pilot and returned to my original career desire of being an engineer. I love flying now and don't get to do it all that often having a ds and a career, but once in a while DH and I try to sneak away together...and it's nice. Flying is much more safer than riding in a vehicle...and ever since 911- I know I and dh feel even more secure with flying than ever before. I hope this might bring some comfort even though it's so hard to erase those fears. Hang in there Sweetie! ((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) LOLove, Connie

I forgot that I sent this post before I left and just read the responses. Thank you so much for your prayers and your comforting words. I obviously made it back o.k. and both flights were very nice. I have a huge fear or flying, maybe a control thing (ha) but every noise and movement scares me to death. I am working on it. My father-in-law just retired from being a Delta pilot - actually that is where we were going, to his retirement party, and he also tells me not to worry. I think the more I fly the better I will get. Thanks again for your posts.

We will be thinking about you, GL I flew for the first time this year and it was so scary. Let us know when you are back on the ground safely.

Hugs
