chem pg? only getting bfp on digital now

It sucks to be writing this. =(

So...I got a BFP on Saturday...it was super light on the IC, but a "Pregnant" on the digital (Clear Blue Easy).

I have, of course, been testing every day since, even though everything else is going fine...and although the line on various tests did show up at some point, now I am getting nothing. BFNs. But the thing is that I've still been taking digitals too and they are still showing "Pregnant". Even this morning; I got a BFN on a FRER, and a BFP on the digital with the same FMU.

I have not had any bleeding or even spotting, no cramps, temps are still good (in fact yesterday and the day before they were the highest they have ever been).

I had a blood test on Monday and my hcg was just 24, progesterone 12.3. Unfortunately my OB's office then closed for the week. They told me at the time to re-test this coming Mon so I won't get any results till Tues.

It's just awful going through this roller coaster of emotions. At this point I don't see how I could still be pregnant with the other BFNs. I'm just waiting for the digital to stop showing "pregnant" and for AF to come so I can move on. I need to tell my family too before they get any more excited about the pregnancy.

So, as soon as I figure out what's going on, looks like I will be back in the waiting game with everyone here.

Nicole,

I really hope that everything is okay, and that there is just some weird fluke as to why you aren't getting positives on all the tests. I hope you can get some answers from your doctor. Prayers and positive thoughts for you.

I have to say that is odd b/c digitals are usually the last to show a +.; I am thinking you are still pg! Are you peeing on the stick or dipping it on the other tests? I'd call the Dr for a blood test. ASAP!

I know, I think it is so strange too that the digital of all things is still showing positive, at least I can definitely recommend CBE digitals as being very sensitive!

My temp dropped a little bit yesterday and a little bit more today. Last night I felt a little crampy and there was a little bit of blood on the tp after wiping...I thought that was it, it was starting...took a digital at the same time and it was STILL positive. I've been dipping them in a cup. With the digital you dip it in for 20 seconds, but all the others it's only 5 seconds. I did wonder if that could have anything to do with it?

I have pretty much already resigned myself to this being a chemical pg, and bawled over the phone to my family yesterday and let them know. I do have a follow up blood test on Monday. But, I'll keep testing w/ the digitals and keep you guys posted.

Thanks so much for writing, it really helps. *hugs* to you all.

Nicole,

Stop temping. Pregnancy temps aren't always the same as TTC temps.. and they bounce at times.

However, realize that your HPTs this early can be influenced by how diluted your urine is, so the ultra sensitive digital ones will show up, but the other ones might not.

Yes, it's possible you have a chemical pregnancy too.. or it's just early and diluted.

Very likely it's a chemical pregnancy, that misleading name for a failure to implant well. It's a real miscarriage, just early.
