DH already going over names

I know my husband is so excited about ttc another baby when he is already going over names... But if we have a boy he wants to name it after him. Not a super big fan of naming after daddy. Grandpa maybe. But just feel it can be confusing. Like what would we even call the baby??? My DH wants to name him Harvey Guy. My husband was named after his great grandfather.

Now my dh is trying to come up with names with the same initials as his...that will work for me.

My dh is a third, and I find it very confusing when we are around his dad (his grandpa passed away years ago). My dh didn't like it at all growing up which is why the trend stopped with him ;) Instead one of our boys has the middle name of my dh, would this be an option your dh would go for?

My sister had this same issue, it's a tradition in her dh's family with the name of James. Her dh was called Chip growing up (Jim to his friends and colleagues) and their son has the nickname of Jack, just to differentiate them. His father is deceased, I'm not sure what name he went by.
