It's been a year and a half and still nothing. I am so frustrated. I am getting up there (37) and feel like it is not ever going to happen. I want so badly to have a child with my DH but I feel like it will never happen. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I think I can understand how you are feeling.
Thanks ladies for your support. I was having a bad week. I feel very lucky to have two ds but I really want a child with my DH. I am 37 and will not be trying after I turn 39 so it just seems like it is getting close to the end of the game. You all are wonderful. I love this board!!
My DH and I have been trying for years now. I felt like I was getting nowhere until I started seeing my RE, which was about 1 1/2 years ago now. I had about a million tests and treatments, now recovering from a fibroid removal and moving to IVF in June or July. I feel closer to the goal now more than ever, but I know I would be stuck if it weren't for my RE. If you haven't gone to see one yet GO! You may need a refferal from your OB/GYN for insurance reasons, but you should at least look into it. Also check with your insurance to see what's covered, My insurance covers 90% with a $1000 annual maximum out of pocket. oh, and I am 35, DH will be 37 in July....
Good Luck! Don't give up hope!!!
I had a bunch of tests last year. In fact, we go to the same fertility clinic. I remember you from back then. :o) He suggested IVF but we can't afford it. DH had a reversal Nov 07 and it did not seem to be taking. Things have improved significantly but still motility is low and I think IVF really may be the only option. Problem is insurance no longer covers it. Of course they decided to drop it this year. We are thinking of going back to RE to talk about options again to see if the improvement is enough for IUI or if we are still at IVF. We will just keep trying until then.
Haha I totally forgot you go to the same clinic! Good to see you back :-) I don't work at VS anymore, BTW, I am at BCBG in Woodburn, but not for another 3 1/2 weeks while I recover from my myomectomy... ORM now has a program called "Our Promise", where they refund the IVF if it doesn't work, that's if insurance didn't pay for it. The info is at http://www.oregonreproductivemedicine.com/our-promise. I no longer go to Dr. Chang since she left the practice. I am now in the hands of Dr. Bankowski and I am really happy with him... I wasn't sure you knew all that, we haven't talked for a super long time!
Do you work? Maybe you can check with the insurance your company offers and see if they offer IVF, if so go through them with open enrollment... Sorry, just racking my brain for you!
Keep me posted on what's going on....
My insurance does not cover IVF either. If we do this we will be paying out of pocket. I just turned 37 so I am no longer within the age limits for the guarantee. Oh well, DH is going to do another SA if we do not get out BFP this month. It continues to improve each time we just need to see motility increase faster. That is the worst area. The other areas are within normal limits but motility has been a slow increase. We put him on a vitamin cocktail for the past three months so we are hoping that it helped. I guess we will see soon. You don't happen to know what we should do to help motility do you?
I will be following your IVF journey closely. Good luck with all of that.
