So we have been trying to conceive for a while now with no luck. my AF has arrived varies times each month, 26days one month, 30 last month and now 34 days this month!! And all my dr could say is "keep trying" how can i keep trying when I dont know when I'm ovulating because my cycle length is changing each month so dramatically! And last month I used OPK's but everyday for me was negative. So now I"m just frustrated becuase AF is here now which means it's BDing time soon and I need to know when =/ Any suggestions would help a lot pleeeease

No I have not tried temping yet. I never understood if it tells you after you have o'd what's the point of it? and with my cycle being crazy would it even help?

Your cycle isn't that crazy.

Thanks for telling me that! I feel like mine is just so crazy lately, but maybe it's because I've been paying more attention to it since we've starting TTC.

For the OPK, i calculate when to start testing based on the shortest period I have had.

Also when you temp, you can see if your Luteal Phase, the time after you O is between 10 to 14 days, anything shorter can be an issue as well. I have O'd as late as day 22 and my earliest is day 14, so taking my temps does help if there are other issues. Also if your temps after O dont get high it can indicate issues as well.

I am actually going to an reproduction endocrinologist on Friday and he actually has all his patients take their temps. I recommend Fertility Friend.com if you want to start and they have a free service. Good luck and hope you get your BFP soon!!!
