Hi everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm not on here very often, and I don't see a feature for being able to pull up your previous posts.

Last week I had my blood taken for my hormone levels to be checked and DH had his sperm test done.

My OB just called and my results were good, but DH's sperm count came back very low and OB recommends he see a urologist. I had to call DH and tell him over the phone and I think he was going to cry. He was so sad, it broke my heart. I'm sure I would feel the same way if the results came back saying it was me, but it was so hard to hear him be so sad.

I never thought this could be an obstacle and now I have a million things going through my head.

Is there even away to increase his count? Is invetro the only way we can every conceive?

any information is much appreciated. thank you.

thank you timetotry1. I don't know much about this, so I am doing some reading online. Trying to stay positive and supportive because DH does not feel very good right now. He has made a doc appt, so we will know more then.

DH had an SA about 2 months ago. We got the results right before Thanksgiving. He had a 14 million count low motility. HE was classified as subfertile/fertile. I also did some research online and found out that B6 can help both count and motility as well as DTD every other day or two. Well we found out that we are pregnant 3 days ago. It can happen!

Good luck and try not to get aggravated.

My DH also has sperm issues - we're not pregnant yet but I know many others who have gotten pregnant after putting their man on vitamins. Please look into vitamins and diet right away, it can make such a difference! It does take about 3 months on vitamins to see results, due to the growing time of sperm. Good luck!

Thank you again for all your support. Last night when I got home, DH told me he got the actual numbers of his results. 2.5 million. my heart dropped, I swear I thought I heard wrong because I know "normal" is around 60 million and I had previously read anything less then 25 million was completely bad. He is now more terrified that something is seriously wrong and so am I. I dont even know how we are going to keep our minds off of this until his doc appt on the 26th.

mt. herblvr- thank you for all the informaition, I made the list of all the vitamins and supplements, but he doesn't want to try or do anything until he sees the urologist. I don't think trying vitamins would hurt anything, but I also know this is very hard for him and I don't want to force him into anything.

astrowaites- thank you for sharing your story. congratulations on your BFP! That is such exciting news.
