My post m/c appointment is tomorrow. I was hoping my hcg would be back to 0 by then, but I took an ic pg test tonight and it was still positive so that's probably not going to happen. The line was faint so hopefully it's getting close.

Hoping doc says we can start TTC again as soon as AF shows, also have some questions for her regarding my progesterone levels.

Soooo, in a nutshell...waiting for my hcg to drop, waiting for AF and impatiently waiting to start TTC again. I'm still lurking and hoping there will be a whole bunch of BFPs around here before we're able to start trying again! :)

Tick...tock...tick....tock...

D*mm it!!! Doc said to wait TWO cycles before TTC again! I wasn't expecting that, I thought we would be able to start trying again as soon as AF came back. Ahhhh!!! I'm so disappointed :(

Did your doctor say why you need to wait 2 cycles before trying again?

That sucks! Feeling put on hold is so hard when all you want to do is move forward. After my m/c at 9 week in May my obgyn told me I could try after first period. My new obgyn here though says she would have told me to wait 2 cycles, esp having had 2 in a row at that point. My friend had a D&C in July and they asked her to wait 2 cycles before trying again, which she said was hard (they are trying again now) but worth it for her peace of mind (she's still nervous, but feels like if she does get pregnant now at least she's given her body extra time to heal). I know I'm just rambling on here. I know it's WAAAAYYY easier said than done, but maybe you can pick a hobby to spend extra time on to take your mind off of things, or set a goal to work on in the meantime that's not ttc-related? I just hope this time FLIES by for you (doesn't this time of year always go too quickly?)and in the meantime you can do something fun for yourself. HUGS.

She didn't say why, and I wish I would have asked. Yes, I had a d&c.

Thanks Sydney :) As much as I want to disregard her advice and start TTC after AF shows up, I should probably wait. I'm sure the fact that I've now lost three in a row doesn't help. But yes, hopefully with the holidays time goes quickly!

Blah......!!!

So sorry you have to wait so long, most of us here seem to be impatient as it is. I hope your two cycles fly by in no time and that you can get back on track. I wonder if it's just too hard on your body and you have to give your body time to get back on track before you start ttc again. Hang in there and I hope time flies!

Sorry you're stuck here Brew. Waiting totally sucks :( I'm sure the holidays will help the time fly by for you guys. It's nice to see you popping up in threads though :)

Sending you lots of icky sticky vibes! Start bottling that stuff up so you can pull it out later!

Thanks Angela :) I'm still really questioning whether I want to wait two cycles or not. A lot of ladies on the TTCAM board seem to only have to wait one. Guess I don't have to make a decision yet. It's been three weeks since my d&C and my body hasn't even showed any signs of O yet, so it's likely that AF it not showing up any time soon. Then again, my body may be awfully confused and it might just show up when I least expect it. Doc said it's usually 4-6 weeks after the d&c, so it could be another three weeks, yet. Ack..............

Hope you're doing well. I've been trying to follow you!!! I really, really hope you get your BFP soon. You've waited long enough!

Up to another 3 weeks! Ack is right!! That'll be one of the limited times I'll do a happy dance for af ;)

I don't know anything about waiting 1 or 2 cycles but at the rate I'm going, I'm sure I'll still be here!

Our OB office tells everyone to wait 3 cycles if the miscarriage happened in the first 12 weeks. I pushed it, and the answer I got was, "It's harder to date a pregnancy if you don't wait."
