So frustrated..

Well, I called my doctor on Monday morning.  The nurse said that since I was only about a week late, it was really early to tell, and my super faint positive could turn into a darker positive within a few days.  She went ahead and scheduled my first appointment, when I would be 7 weeks.  She also told me to wait and test again late in the week.  Well, you know me, I tested today, and will again on Friday or Saturday, but this morning's test was MAYBE a faint positive, but looked lighter than the ones before.  I am so frustrated because I feel like I should be excited that I have my first prenatal appointment in two weeks, but I'm so upset that I cannot get a strong positive!  I have been cramping, very moody, and bloating.  AF is now 8 days late, and I am wanting to know whats going on.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I have been testing using FMU, and trying to not drink a lot before bed.  Has it ever taken any of you longer than a week past your missed period to get a good positive? Thanks for listening to my vent,  I feel much better:smileyhappy:

Feel free to vent whenever you need....especially if it helps :smileyhappy:

I am 15DPO today, I think I implanted on Saturday (8/11) [11DPO] and AF is two days late.  My first BFP showed up on Tuesday morning and I think the line is faint (in comparison to the control line).  I know I'm not as late as you, but when I re-tested this morning my line was still the faint color and still took 2+ minutes to show (test instructions says to wait 5 mins to read).  I agree with you that with AF being late I'd expect dark lines and fast results.

Can you take a digital or something that doesn't focus you on the "color" or "faintness" of the results....rather the PREGNANT that appears in the test window??

Good luck! hang in there and hopefully your first appointment in 2 weeks goes well :smileyhappy:

Thanks for the kind words!  I took a digital test 3 days ago, and it said the dreadful "NOT PREGNANT".  I called my doctor today and requested a blood test.  I guess I'm being impatient, but I just want to know if I should be excited or not for the next 2 weeks.   Plus, I really want my husband there with me if happen to get an ultrasound at that appointment, and I don't want him to take off of work if I'm not pregnant, you know?  I guess we'll see.  I wonder how long the blood tests take to come back?  I'm so nervous!

I have never had the blood test done, but it seems like women get their results pretty quickly (within 24 hours)....and when i get blood work done to test my thyroid the results are sent to my doctor within 36 hours.  Since the goal is to see doubling of hcg within 48-72 hours I would think the results come quickly.

Hopefully the doctor agrees to the blood tests and you can get your answers quickly.  if not, you may be permitted to get them done anyway....i think there are some things (not sure if this is one of them) that you can get done at the lab simply because you want them, not because the doctor requested them - but don't quote me on that :smileywink:

I totally understand the frustration and the wanting your husband there for the important stuff.....hang in there!

Well, I had a blood test yesterday, and it was negative.  I am bummed, but I had a feeling that's what they would say.  Now I'm just hoping that AF comes on her own here really soon, because I can't get into the doctor again until August 30th:smileysad:  I'm just ready to get on with this next cycle!  I'm going to start temping this next month, and hopefully I'll have good results with that.  Thanks to everyone for all of your support!

Sorry the results weren't what you wanted....stinks when our bodies play mind games with us :smileysad:  I hope AF shows soon and you can move on to the next cycle.  Good luck!
