Hey Ladies! It's been quite awhile since I've posted here. So, let me give a little information on me! My DH and I will be married 7 years February of 2011. We have one beautiful DD, Hannah, who turned 7 on November 18. I actually was part of the EC for December 2003 (she was 6 weeks early) on iVillage, and really loved the support that came from it. Hannah is in 1st Grade, and the light of my life. My husband works in production, and I'm a SAHM and own an Etsy business.
So, on to the details of our TTC journey. We decided when Hannah was about a year old that we were going to actively begin TTC. We had never been on BC due to our religious beliefs, but decided to start trying Natural Family Planning with the charting, the temping, etc. Over time my periods became very very irregular. I would have a period for 6 months straight (heaving bleeding for about 6 weeks, and then non stop spotting for a few months), and then not have a period at all for 6 months straight.
We went through this for a couple of years with the very heavy periods, and just trying to keep up with the NFP, and trying to have another baby. We decided in 2007 that we should see a fertility specialist. The fertility specialist diagnosed me with PCOS, and prescribed me a litany of medication for it. I did this for about a year, took the meds, tried the Clomid, etc... never got pregnant. POAS every month, cried every month... I got to the point where I was so depressed that I couldn't function. We decided to take a break and see what would happen.
Now, it's almost 2011, and we've decided to start trying again. In February/March we are considering doing IUI, and I will be going back on the Clomid and such. I've lost a lot of weight in the last few years, which contributes greatly to PCOS, and my periods are a little more regular now. So, we shall see what happens... I'm hoping that my time will come, and that my sweet girl won't have to grow up never knowing the joys of having a sibling.
So, here it goes.... we're on the road again...
