Hi everyone! I am not TTC #2 yet, but will be soon as soon as I get my Mirena out, hopefully this week. I have a couple of questions too.

Does anyone know how long it will take for my period to start once I get my IUD taken out? Also, since I am TTC #2 I don't know if I should chart, do OPKs, and all that stuff.

Any words of wisdom? Thoughts?

Hi! According to what I've heard, your cycles should be regular immediately after the IUD removal. You may want to at least temp and use OPK's for the first couple months just to be sure everything is functioning the way it did prior to the IUD, but realistically you can get pg right away! Good luck!

Welcome aboard! I don't have any insight into the iud situation but I wanted to wish you good luck & a smooth transition into fertility!! I think temping is a better option to see if you're O'ing, unless you're a poas-aholic, in which case I say stock up on the pee sticks! Or just chart cm & when it gets watery or egg white then you could try the opk's...

Welcome to the board! It all depends on how much you to track, sometimes starting off with OPKs is an easy alternative for the first few months. Good luck!
