I find Ivillage and TTC boards very helpful, Ive been trying to conceive since the last one year and a half,I have PCOS and i went to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist last week and i thought i should pass on some of the advice that i got from him,as the questions i had, i have seen several other ladies wondering about them.
The first i wanted to know was, how much exercise is ok?Well, i run about 4 to 5 times a week approx 3 to 4 miles and in addition to that i had started doing the P90X workouts..SO, he has asked me to cut down on my running, I can run for about 2 miles and walk the third. Also he doesnt want me to raise my heart rate more than 140(i think). Also he told me not to do my P90X , as he doesnt want my body to be in any kind of stress as these are pretty intense workouts.
Then i asked him how much Caffeine is ok?He said, i can have upto 200mg everyday.Thats one cup of coffee and two cups of tea a day.
He also asked me limit my carb intake, no rice, no potatoes, try not to eat processed foods.
other than that he ran some tests on my,Im taking 2000mg of metformin, when the results get back,he will put me on letrozole..
so lets see...
Lots of luck to everyone!
