Hi, I'm new here figured I would step in. I've been ttc for 5 months now and am feeling a little down about it. I already have 2 beautiful daughters but had no problem getting pregnant with them. My oldest was a birth control baby and my second I only dtd 1 time and was pregnant. This whole "trying" thing is a whole new emotional experiance for me.

I'm starting to feel like it isn't going to ever happen. Anyone else experiance this? I used opk's and have been dtd every single day for the week I could be ovulating. Is that not the way to do it? Should I not be doing it every day since it lowers his sperm count?

Thanks for the advice ladies, this has been much harder then I thought it would be. Seems like everyone else around me keeps getting pregnant besides me.

Welcome to the board! I am on month 2 of TTC our first. Keep in mind that it takes a normal, healthy couple up to 12 months to get pregnant. I hope your stay here is short and that you get a BFP soon!

Hey I been TTC for about 7 months now and its getting me down also as this is my first, every time I get my period I feel like crying as I got to go through the same thing all over again, the waiting, the hoping, I've even invested in a monitor now to track my Ovulation as I want to have the greatest chance, I do smoke but only very little and drink which I have cut back on and thinking if it doesn't happen by Xmas I'm going to cut out both!! I was on the implant as a contreceptive before I started trying and didn't know it could take upto 3/6 months for your body to go back to normal, so I am only just out of the zone of that, if I'd known it was going to take this long I would of had it taken out earlier. I'm on cycle day 20 at the moment so I have about 9 or 10 days to wait, I got blood test tomorrow to check hormones, 21 day check so hopefully if there is anything wrong it will show up, also going to get hubby tested as its not always the women
