New with a question

I have been married almost 5 years and have been trying to conceive for 6 month. It has been discouraging finding a neg. test month after month. Considering my husband and I are only 25 and not conceiving for 6 months now is there is a strong possibility something is wrong do you think? Has anyone else been through this and ended up conceiving? I try to stay optimistic and not think about it, but I am getting a little concerned. Thanks!

At 25, 6 months is not seen as a problem, it can take a while when you first start TTC to know when you ovulate and when to have intercourse. If you have a problem with the amount of time you have been trying without a positive I suggest going to the doctor's. As I have suggested a number of times a preconception check up can sometimes give you a better perspective.

GL and I hope you get your positive soon!

It took me six months exactly with my first child. I was 24 years old. The doctor considered that normal and not bad timing at all. It felt like it took a long time though, so I know how you feel. My husband did have a couple of things going on that would lower sperm count though. Right at six months I got pregnant but didn't know it until I was 5 weeks. My child was and is perfectly healthy and I had no pregnancy problems... I bet you'll end up with a positive soon. I know it can feel frustrating but try not to worry so much just yet... relax and enjoy. :)

It can take awhile to conceive even if there is nothing wrong. Each month, if all systems are go, we still only have a 25% chance of conceiving. It took my DH and I over a year the first time. I live in Massachusetts too and all infertility treatments are covered by insurance, but not until a couple has been trying for 18 months. Good luck and I hope you get your BFP soon!
