Welcome Andrea! Sorry to hear it's been taking longer than expected to get baby #2. Vitex & B6 is a great start. Have you discussed your spotting with your dr? I'm a spotter too with a short lp (never spotted before I had dd). My dr just did a pap to rule out any potential internal causes of spotting & has ordered bloodwork to test my progesterone at 7dpo since low progesterone levels are associated with spotting.

Have you considered using opk's? I'd suggest bd'ing every other day after af & then once you get a positive opk start bd'ing every day? I like to try & bd 3 days in a row before O. How's your cm? There's other things you can take to increase it if need be or you can use pre seed lubricant which will help keep those spermies alive until the Eggie shows up. Just make sure you're not using other lubes since they can hurt your chances.

We usually bd before bed so I usually just go to sleep & shower in the morning. I don't know much about uti's but if it's a recurring issue maybe you should bring it up with your dr?

Anyways, welcome to the board! I look forward to getting to know you. Good luck & fingers crossed for a speedy & sticky bfp :)

Welcome to the board, Andrea! I think at most you only need to stay in bed for 10 minutes or so. You might find this article interesting, it has a lot of suggestions on changes you can make to nutrition: Good luck!

Well it looks like you have a good plan...I also take B6 and Vitex and it seems to be helping with my crazy cycle... I have read that as long as you stay in bed for 5 mins it should be enough. I try to stay longer but i totally understand with the UTI's. I dont think getting up after 5 mins will hurt your chances. Good Luck I am glad your cycles are finally getting better I hope you get your BFP soon....

I just found this forum a few days ago and it is already GREAT!

I have a big issue with UTI's as well. Before we started TTC I wouldn't even cuddle after the BD... it was straight to the bathroom to pee away the possibility of a UTI. We have been TTC since November and I have gradually increased the time between BD and the bathroom. Now I lay with my hips elevated for 30 minutes and have not had a single UTI (knock on wood). I started with just five minutes and increased my time by another five minutes every week or so.

So, I would suggest starting out slow to make sure you aren't going to get a UTI... and drinks lots of cranberry juice :-)

Good luck!
