Hello,

I am in my 1st month of ttc and had sex on the 10th day of my cycle. today is the 28th day of my cycle and so far no period. i took a pt on monday it can back negative i was told that after 10 days i can test. i dont know if i am regular i have never kept track.

I have no signs of getting my period such as cramping, breast tenderness and smelly V.

Now hear is my question I quit smoking 3 years ago but I chew nicorette gum. Do i need to quit now or when I get a postive ppt back. I also drink one cup of expresso every morning appox. 50 mg of caffine is that ok?

Also when should I test again?

I am new here 34 married 1 1/2 years. Husband is 33 ( I like them young) I live in NYC and I am very excited.

Thank you,

Colette

Congratulations on ttc. I am in my first month as well. I don't have any knowledge for you, I just thought it was interesting that you mentioned nicorette gum. I have never thought of that before. I would think that you are ok until you get a positive result, but at that point would have to stop since the gum contains nicottine (right?). My first baby was a surprise. In the first month of pregnancy, before I found out I was expecting, I went to a Christmas Party, graduated from college, and celebrated the millenium New Year. Between all these occasions I had consumed mucho alcohol. I was so worried the whole time I was pregnant about whether this would effect the baby. My Dr. assured my that it would be okay because the baby is not really tapped in to your blood supply until a little later. So, I would say no worries. Hope this helps and good luck.

I just started posting here and it took me a few days to get up to speed on all the abreviations. I am still confused on some but know that C1 means cycle 1. It is the number of cycles you have had since trying to conceive (ttc). CD9 means cycle day 9 and is the day you are on in your cycle counting from the 1st day of your last period. Good Luck!
