1st time charting - how does FF know "O"

This is my 1st time charting......I have been looking at the FF charts and they all have the red line when Ovulation occured.
How does that happen?
Is it something that we manually do?
Is it something that happens when you record a positive OPK?
I am not using OPK, so that is my main concern.
OR does it decide when you O'd by the way the temps rise and it automatically inserts the red divider line???
Thank you for your help!!!

Good Luck to all of you!!!

Here is my chart:

FF will take care of all that for you. After you O & get your temp shift, it waits for your third "high" temp before marking an O date and coverline. (Sometimes that's an excruciating three days!) =)
Good luck to you!
