20dpo and BFN???

I haven't posted in a looong time, but I lurk daily. Taking my mind off ttc has done wonders for my stress levels but now I'm confused...

I'm on CD36 of a usual 27-29 day cycle. ?! I either O'd on cd15 or 16 according to my cm and opk. My cycle has never been this long! I've tested three times with my dollar tree tests and all have been bfn. The first test I took at 14dpo was a bfn, but later in the day I pulled it out of the trash and there was a line. I know that's a no no and results are only valid in the 10 min time.

I'm trying to decide if I should spend $20 on a good test (FRER) or $20 on a visit to my OBGYN. I just don't know what she could tell me.

Any thoughts?

I remember you from before and have been wondering how you were doing. If I were you and you have a good dr I would just call them and explain your issue & see if they can do the test. If you get a FRER & its + then you will have to pay the dr to do one too. It might just save you some money. Good Luck, I hope you get a BFP

That's kind of what I was thinking. They could do a blood test, but the last time I did that it cost me out of pocket, from what I remember. So I'm not interested in that until a test turns pink.

I'm due for my annual well woman exam, so that'd be another good reason to go in. I'd just hate to make the appointment for next week and have AF start. Ugh

I would probably go to the doctor for a blood test. Hoping this is it for you!

I took a Clearblue digital an hour ago, with apple juice colored pee, and it was not pregnant. I have traveled on the first of the year to see my inlaws in ohio, and came back on the 5th, but I had already O'd by them. I was under the impression the the lp didn't change with stressors, but the O date was the one that could fluctuate.

I will call the doc. Talk about starting clomid again (this cycle was the first month off after two cycles on 50mgs). I tried one round of iui two cycles ago (the first one clomid) and no success.

Who would have thunk I'd still be ttc after 16 cycles trying. My ability to get excited has bled dry.

I believe it's only the O date that fluctuates, your LP should not be fluctuating more than 1-2 days. The digitals aren't as sensitive so you may just have slow rising levels.

I remember you from way back as well. This is frustrating isn't it? The only thing I could guess is that maybe you didn't O this month (happens to us all at times) and that's why AF is taking so long? Again, it's a guess. I probably would waste the $20 at the doctor's given my choice, maybe lump it in with your well visit?

Good luck to you. I've been around the boards a long time too and know how you feel.
