3 days of "Positive"OPKs

Alright, now I am absolutely confused. Since Friday of last week, I have been using OPKs. I got, what I thought, negatives from Friday until Wednesday. Wednesday was CD16. The ones that I took for the last three days were a different brand. Well, since Wednesday I have had OPK test lines that were darker than the control...well I thought. Today I showed all three OPKs to my husband, and he thinks that today's is the darkest of the three. So, does that mean that the other two are invalid? Today is the start of my surge? We bd'd Friday night, Monday night, Wednesday and Thursday nights. We plan on bding tonight and tomorrow as well. Do you think that that will cover it? This is my fifth cycle of clomid, and other than not ovulating on my own, everything seems to be normal with me and my DH. We both have been tested. Today is CD18 for me, and if I haven;t ovulated already, then this is the latest I have ever ovulated. My cycles have been 28-29 days. Will my luteal phase not be long enough to keep a pregnancy in the event that I do become pg? I am just scared that we might have missed our chance this month. I am usually a paranoid freak anyways. ;)

I too had that.. called the opt people.. they said.. that some women have enough of the LH hormone to get 2 or 3 positives. I had that this month. They are now negative.

she said that your supposed to stop after the first true positive, and thats where the color matches or is darker than test line. She said that if you dont get a matching line... that you didnt produce enough of the LH to register.

HTH!!!

BFP to everyone.. Chins up.. Legs open... and Butts high!!

I do not use OPK as I just rely on O pain for now to TTC but according to what you stated, I think you in fact O'ed on Friday or are about to on Saturday. According to all the BD'ed you've been doing girl, I think you're pretty much covered for this O cycle. If you BD Friday night and Saturday, you should be OK, unless it is the clomid that is producing that line on the test, but I doubt it.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Thank you so much, ladies. Both your responses were much help. Kinda puts my mind at ease. The waiting is just killing me. Usually I chart, but I think I obsess over this more when I do all of it- ultrasounds, fertility drugs, robitussin, v8 splash, temping and charting, pre-seed...the list seems endless. Is it actually possible to not obsess as much as the previous months?

I don't know how many cycles you've been TTC but I definately think the earlier one's are worst, I obsessed like crazy last month and this month I am much more relaxed. Hoping that is a trend for me.

Good luck! And tons of the best baby dust your way. :)

I've never used anOPK, but from what I read in here it seams like they are more frustrating than informative! I've said this before, but trust your body's signs over everything else! Of course, that is only my two cents... feel free to take it or leave it!!!

Good Luck!

We have been trying to conceive for five months with r/e help and without any help since April 2002. I wouldn't spend any money on the OPKs if my r/e didn't recommend it. We have had all the tests done, except postcoital, but I am afraid to do that one. I guess if we do not get pg on our own this month or next, we are going to take a break from the clomid and then do clomid and iui a few months later. Obviously I am producing eggs and releasing them, and my husband's sperm is fine, so it could be the "inhospitable" environment of my body. Who knows. I just have to keep saying to myself that it is GOd's plan. He will let it happen when he feels it is the right time. Take care and good luck yourself.
