9 DPO.....I need some encouragement!

Hey ladies...

So I'm having this not-quite-a-surprise birthday dinner tonight and wanted to see if I'd be able to have a drink, so I did a test. I'm 9 DPO and I tested with FRER using FMU....definitely a BFN. I know its early but I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. If I'm pregnant, shouldn't I have seen at least SOMETHING?? I know that the percentage of BFPs get higher and higher the more DPO you are and blah blah blah but I still feel like if I was, I'd have seen a little hint of a something. There was definitely nothing there. Sigh.

Oh, and since I know it's still early and there might still be a chance, I feel like I shouldn't have a drink ANYWAY. So basically all I did was frustrate myself.

Cycle 1 - BFN. Diagnosed with PCOS.
Day 3 Blood Work - Appears to be normal, with slightly high prolactin. Must re-do next cycle.
Cycle 2 - DH's s/a came back normal. BFN - AF arrived early.
Cycle 3 - Day 3 Blood Work re-do is normal. Could not do HSG...long story. Have an appt. with the local fertility genius in mid-May. O'ed early, no chance for a BFP this cycle, which was my first 28 day cycle in YEARS!!! woo hoo
Cycle 4 - Day 3 b/w is normal yet again. Back to my usual CD 19/20/21 O day. Using CBEFM and OPKs, not temping.

Thank you, thank you....for the birthday wishes and the response.

I guess I really thought I'd be one of those lucky people to see a really early BFP on FRER. Oh well....I'm kinda feeling like I'm out for this cycle now.

It's way too early. You may not even have implanted yet (if an egg fertilized). With

Hey girl! Happy Birthday! I was just thinking about you a few days ago and sending you some SBVs.

Like the PPs said, it's definitely too early to count yourself out yet. I tested at 10 and 11 DPO and got BFN. I mean, no line whatsoever. I was shocked because I was so sure I was pg! How could I be pg and getting BFNs? I skipped testing on 12 DPO to give myself some peace of mind. At 13 DPO I got a faint BFP with FRER. At 14 DPO (the day AF was due)

Thanks everyone.....I need the encouragement.

HI STEPH!!!!!! I saw your belly pic in another thread and you look SO CUTE!!!

Yes, yes...I know its early. One of my girlfriends got her BFP at 9DPO or 10DPO with her first baby, and is now pregnant again and this time was still getting BFNs at 12 and 13 DPO. So I know everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. I really just have to wait, and that's that. But...I don't feel anything different. Some women "know"...I know nothing!

I just had a total meltdown over brunch....like I was a crying mess. Can we say PMS anyone?? LOL.

Amber - Thanks...I'm sure you'll be just fine!! :)

Steph - how did you "know" you were pregnant? I read that you said you kept getting BFNs but were sure you were pregnant...how were you sure?
