Hi!

Question for all you pregnant gals or anyone who can anwer for me! :-)

What happens to your cervix when you are pregnant? Does it stay high? Is it soft, hard??? I never checked my cp before so I don't know what it was like when I was pregnant the 2 times. I know what a dilated cervix feels like- I am an OB RN- but don;t know what a "regular one" feels like! Anyways- what happens to your cervix after ovulation and you don't conceive vs conceiving?

Thanks in advance!!

Well, I can tell you my experience.....I have been ttc for 9 months and am finally preggo. I have been checking my cp every month, and usually, right before my period, it gets high and softer, and opens up a bit, almost like around o time, but not that high and soft. I have two children already, so maybe that's why it feels slightly open around period time. So now, I am 4weeks and 2 days, and it is lower, and not firm but not soft either. I have been surprised, because I thought it would go high and soft, but my Dr. said today that it wouldn't go higher for another a week or so, and then it would get pretty high and soft. Hope this helps, Tressa

The cervix also exhibits unique changes when pregnancy occurs. Including a softening of the cervix, which, unless you are familiar with the way your cervix feels in the various phases of your normal cycle, it is unlikely that you will be able to determine the differences. Generally the cervix feels similar in firmness to the tip of your nose, but in pregnancy it takes on a softer more velvety feel with a hardness underneath.

Hi A, found the above in that article I sent you.

Hey,

I did look at your chart. It's still early but at least your temps keep rising!! Let's look for an implantation dip in the next 3-4 days! Whoohoo!!!!!

I'm going to bed. I'm still sick.
