I've been to the list posted at the top of this board, but it doesn't have two key acronyms listed: BFP and BFN. I know they basically mean positive pg test and negative test, but what do the letters actually stand for? It's driving me crazy trying to figure it out. (And I have enough stress already, I'm in the two week waiting game LOL)

Hi Barb,

BFP/BFN stands for Big Fat Positive/Negative. Or when we're really upset that AF showed, than the "F" in BFN can be used more creatively ;-)

Hope this helps. Good luck to you this cycle.

ooh ooh. I know this one! BFP is Big Fat Positive and BFN is Big Fat Negative. Of course you can substitute other F words in your head for the Negative, but you get the drift ;).
