Another 2ww ahead of me...
Wed, 09-19-2012 - 10:07am

Well, how many months has it been since i've been ttc? On and off over a year... seriously ttc for the last 8 months now.

Last month, my AF didn't arrive on time, and thought "hey, maybe this is it!" but then it showed up 2 days later. :smileysad:

TMI: I (finally) went to GYN last week for my pap smear and to talk about TTC.

She asked me if i chart - i said no. I KNOW when i ovulate because i check my cm everyday. So I told her I was going to ovulate that week, and when she checked, sure enough she gave me some medical term that basically meant 'see some mucus- cervix feels like it's opening" etc. SEE... i KNOW.

So missing my O doesn't seem to be an issue as to why we aren't getting pregnant. :smileysad:

She said if I don't get pregnant this month, to start temp charting (though that's to predict O and since i know when i O i'm not quite sure what that will do)...

Then she said she could run some other tests.. and at some point I could go on a fertility drug. fun fun. Yeah, I don't want that.

So we had sex every other day b4, during, after O. I think I O'd on Friday Sept 15. (the past few months, we were doing it often, but she said that wasn't necessary, so i figured just try every other day this month to see).

I think most women who have sore breasts usually get it a few days before AF - whereas i get it before, during and after O all the way until a day AFTER AF.

It's been this way for the past several months, for however many years i don't remember. OCCASIONALLY I will not have any breast pain, but that is somewhat rare and hasn't happened recently at all.

WELL... my O has passed, and I have NO breast pain YET. So of course I'm thinking "it's a sign, it's a sign"... but if this was a successful run this time, my body wouldn't know it BEFORE O, only AFTER and my breasts were not sore before O. So why are my breasts NOT hurting at all?

Is my body fooling with me YET AGAIN!? They say "look for changes, and if you have changes, it is a good sign that you might be pregnant" WELL.. here is a really good sign- no sore breasts after O. Maybe it's a change in diet thought i'm eating the same stuff... maybe it's change in stress? (maybe i was less stressed this past month! haha)

So i don't know if no breast pain is something for me to consider.

But then I read that some people experience tender, itchy nipples after O as a sign of getting pregnant - which i have none- yet. How many dpo does this usual happen for those that would experience it?

So kind of confused on this whole "does sore breasts mean anything?"

Is there a heightened feeling of arousal after O? I have that, too.

I know implantation doesn't take place til at least 6dpo, and i would really only be maybe 3dpo so I don't think I would be experiencing ANY changes yet, right?

Each day is a wait and each day more questions: will my breasts start to hurt tomorrow and if they do, does that mean i'm not pregnant? If i don't see implantation bleeding in another 3-9 days, does that mean i'm not pregnant? If my cervix remains creamy cm, and it doesn't "disappear" higher up, does that mean i'm not pregnant?

I've tracked all of these "signs" every month, so not quite sure what i will notice this month. But making it is looking better this month because i can actually say there is one change so far: no sore breasts.

BOY, 2ww's certainly are horrible the more times I go through them! :smileysad:

I don't think you would be noticing any symptoms until after implantation happens and closer to when AF would appear. Charting your temps not only can help you determine ovulation, but it can also see how long your luteal phase is, to name one example. My breasts would be sore right around the time when AF was due, and it was much more tender than normal AF soreness, if that makes any sense! Keep us posted :smileyhappy:

well, it's about 9dpo. My breasts don't hurt-really only if i keep pushing on them do i feel more of an internal pain, like a sore muscle pain if that makes sense. nipples are sensitive and will stick out quickly when brushed up against. Normally my breasts would hurt on their own and more so when squeezed, esp. on the sides. So this month, none of that.

been monitoring my cm. Past 2 months i was always creamy sticky dryish cm all the way up to af-so i never really dry up like they say its supposed to. well, after o this month, discharge was minimal and if any it was more clear and wet. now today at 9dpo in evening, it was more stretchy, opulecent white, watery. very different from the creamy stuff i usually get.

so, no sore boobs except for sensitive nipples, and watery stretchy cm. both different from past months. i don't wanna get my hopes up, but why would it be so different this month than last month if nothing is happening?

unless my body likes to keep playung mean tricks on me! haha

no other noticeable symptoms. so... anyone get watery stretchy cm after o and what was result?

I sometimes do get stretchy cm after o. My body is crazy sometimes. But I know when I got pregnant with dd I didn't get any symptoms at all until I was 8 weeks. But everyone is different for sure! Sending bb vibes!!

~10dpo. Breasts about the same, not really sore. if i squeeze, i will get some pain around the nipple. Noticed wasn't much cm this a.m. and what was there was more creamy. And i'm pretty horny! haha

Don't women get an increase in libido when AF is coming and NOT a sign of early pregnancy :smileysad:

I told myself last month that i wasn't going to go crazy during this month's 2ww because I didn't want to get my hopes up again. Because I knew what to expect now after O if i wasn't pregnant (breast pain, creamy cm) if that happened, i knew i didn't conceive. So what does my body do? No breast pain and weird cm a few days! So now i am back to "wondering" if these are legitimate changes! haha

My body surely is NOT making this easy on me. Not having sore breasts after O is a HUGE change for me - i can't even remember the last time i didn't get sore breasts after it. So why all of a sudden do they not hurt if i am not pregnant? Right.

Though I keep thinking -- maybe i have irregular O's and that's why my breasts are always sore - -too much progesterone. So maybe in fact, I actually HAD a normal O but to me, it feels abnormal. I think in a normal O, your breasts are not supposed to be sore - and would ONLY start to be sore a couple of days before AF. And maybe a small increase in similar-looking EWCM is also normal after O, and then it goes to the creamy white.

If that's the case, then - yeah for me for having a normal O finally, but sucks for me because it threw off the whole "if there is a change in what you normally experience, then it is a good sign" :smileysad:

I don't track my temp, but if i started this week and noticed my body temp is above 'normal 98.6' for the next few days, would that tell me anything?

How soon did anyone see changes in their breasts - size, areola darkening, bumps, more prominent veins? Was this before expected AF, or afterwards?

Is there a way I can find out if i have formed a mucus plug? Any different feeling to the cervix?

My AF is due Friday or Saturday so another 3-4 days of AGONY but each day I keep thinking less and less that these are early pregnancy signs, but in fact signs that i had a normal O after all this time. :smileysad:

It's hard to say when it comes to the bbt temp. The reason you temp on the day af comes is to establish your bbt. This is usually the lowest temps before o and your temp rises after o so it hard to say if that temp is promising or not. In addition your temp stays up until the day af is due then will drop if no pregnancy occurred.
No you haven't formed a mucus plug yet. That comes with time and builds as pregnancy continues
Most women won't see physical changes until they have substantial amounts of the Pregnancy hormone in their body. This hormone doesnot appear until implantation and doubles about every two to three days.

You could always test in a day or two but it could always be too early. Good luck!!!

Let me give you some info about bbt charting...... Hold please. :smileyhappy:

OKAY, so i'm at ~12dpo. My AF is expected tomorrow or Saturday. I am so afraid to test after seeing so many negative tests over a year of trying. :smileysad:

tmi- This morning I had some stretchy oplucent white cm mixed with a tiny bit of creamy. I kept feeling like i was "leaking" all throughout the day, but I guess it never made it to my underwear. This afternoon there wasn't much there, but what was there was generally wet and clear, with again the tiniest bit of creamy.

So I know I am preparing for something. The SOMETHING is what puts me on pins and needles. Am I preparing for AF or am I preparing for a baby?

The last 2 months, I had incredible breast pain, and very abundant creamy cm before AF. This month - no breast pain and a more slippery cm.

I'm hoping that means I'm pregnant! :smileyhappy:

~6 days late; ~19dpo. BFN yest. a.m. no AF in sight.

Cervix is still pretty high. Still getting some stretchy, wet cm. Yesterday, and then today i noticed that i have tons of bumps on my cervix. I read that they could be nabothian cysts... this is the first time I have had them-- and I've been checking my cervix for almost a year now :smileywink:~

Maybe they have appeared because I have been checking my cervix too often? Or could they appear because maybe my finger wasn't as clean as I thought it was...? Maybe I am irritating it too much? Or maybe I have an abundance of cm so cysts formed?

I read that "Some women notice they appear and disappear in relation to their menstrual cycle" -- does that mean that my AF IS on it's way and that i am NOT pregnant? Or can they also appear in early pregnancy?

Or do I actually have something I need to worry about? It is just bumpy - maybe 4 or 5 small bumps, and not painful.

If they go away on their own, how long does it usually take? If they are still there in a few days, do I need to worry? Or do they stay for weeks...?

I find it odd that the bumps are there when they've never been there before..?

(and btw, had a pap smear on the 10th, and even though the bumps were not there yet,  i would expect if there was anything wrong, it would have shown up then)

Thanks for your input!

,,,My DH said for me to wait until Monday to test again and to call my Gyno for an appt if I still don't have my AF and the test is BFN -- but i can't wait that long! haha
