Have any of you taken an Answer quick and simple Early result Pregnancy test?

Has it been accurate for you?

Heres a picture of the box if you dont recognize the name

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b3d608b3127cce8dddfc16795e0000001610

I got off BC pills last month and my period is now 2 days late, i know getting off BC pills can affect cycle length but it didnt last time i got off them but this time it may have. Anyway, 3 days before AF was due this month i took an EPT. I got the faintest faintset line at 10 minutes. I took a pic of it although you really cant see it because its THAT faint. Heres the picture, im sure you all have expert eyes and may see it, i do alittle;) but you may not:-P

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b3d608b3127cce8dddfc4c79040000001610

I see it better in real life but its still so very faint almost made me think i was hallucinating but the hubby saw it too, even now its still there, i saved it;).

Anyway the next morning i woke up at 2am because i was too excited, i had bought these Answer tests, 2 of them for the same price as the EPT cause they had a buy one get one free thing. Anyway they are supposed to pick up lower amounts of hcg then EPT so i was SURE that since EPT had a faint line with FMU then this test would definatly have a darker line, even if i didnt sleep as long as did for the EPT. I held it till 4:30am and tested.

I took it and got a BFN:(

I didnt understand and i still dont. I took the EPT 2 days before AF was due and it detects 50some HCG and took the Answer brand that detects 20 some HCG the day before AF was to arrive. I plan to take the last answer soon but i dont want let down, Could EPT have had an evaporation line that early, at 8-10 minutes?

its all so confusing:(

I feel like im posting too much here but i cant help it! =P any imputs appreciated;)

AF was due yesterday and as of tonight, no AF although no other big symptoms other then gagging, not puking, and pain when i stand to quickly in my stomach, as though id pulled a muscle doing sit ups or something:-\ who knows:(

I don't have experience with that test, but I would definitely test again. Maybe with the First Response Early test? It's supposed to be the most powerful one. I wouldn't give up hope yet or get too discouraged. I could also see the very faint line on your test.

Good luck! I would love to see another picture of a BFP from you!

I took the e.p.t yesterday and got that same result mine's prob. a BFN but I did wait the three min. then looked and sure enough there was that faint pinkish whitish I don't know what to call it there about 2 min. later. just looked in trash and it's still there. I'd

wait a few days and retest. wish these tests would say "yes" or "no" and be done with it.

Hi!

I don't have any experience with the Answer test, but I know that the First Response Early says that results read after ten minutes are not accurate. I do not want to dash your hopes of being pg - there is still a good chance that you might be given that AF is late. I hope that you are and that when you test again in a few days you get a stronger + result.

Just as a side note, I was watching the news last night and they did a story on a new digital clear blue easy test coming out soon that will have words instead of lines: it will actually say, pregnant or not pregnant!!! It was an Amercian station, so look for it in the US in the next few weeks. I live in Canada, so I am not sure if we will get them here soon, but if we do and I am not already pg, I will get those instead of the one line two line tests I have been using :)))))

Have a great long weekend :)

I never fully trust HPG. I go with the blood test @ the Dr. Office. My Dr. has a lab right in his office and I know the true results w/in an hour. I took a HPG ( not sure what brand) w/ my 2nd child and it was BFN. However, not two weeks later... I took an EPT and it was positive. To totally cross my t's and dot my I's I went for Blood test and it was +. Good Luck.

Whenever i do get a BFP ill be sure to post a pic of it;)

I took the other answer test this morning and it was negative as well. So i have a faint EPT that came up at 8-10 minutes and two negative Answer Early result pregnancy tests. The Answers supposed to pick up less hcg but they costed less too, but im not sure if they are considered "cheap".

Its very dissapointing, if im not pregnant, AF should hurry up and arrive:(

Well the ept paper said do not read a neg result after 20 minutes, not sure if its an evap line that came sooner then EPT expected but all i know is i took the other answer test and it was negative. Pretty sad:(

They are supposed to pick up lower amounts of hcg.

Im still in denial, i still stare that the ept:-X

Answer is made by the SAME company that makes FRE and I don't trust those tests at ALL!!! I've held both and they are the same test with slightly different packaging. I did a little research on them and what i read is that their "claim" to detect such low levels is debatable. They have a high record of false negatives and false positives. They are cheaply made in my opinion. They attract people with their lower cost and claim for earlier testing and then you end up spending more because either the line is ridiculously faint or not there at all. For those who get accurate results with them - I'm happy for them, it just didn't work that way for me.

I do know people who love those tests but here is what happened to me....

on CD 25 i got a REALLY REALLY (could only see it in certain lights) positive with Answer early - so on CD 26 I got an FRE and got a negative - on CD 27 using EPT I got a definite positive!! I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow.

I have a friend who used an FRE & EPT in the same morning (the day AF was due) with the same urine sample and got a neg with FRE and a positive with EPT - her son is now almost 2 years old :o)

I personally don't think very highly of Answer OR FRE (basically the same test) and feel that EPT is much more reliable in my case. Oh and I dip my tests - I don't pee on them so it isn't as though I can mess that up and get urine in the wrong spot or anything LOL. I do see a very faint line on that pic you have but only if I stand back from the screen LOL.

I realize that you asked about the ANSWER test and I keep bringing up FRE - they are the same test manufactured by the same company and claim to have the same sensitivity. I didn't realize this until I bought one of each and got them home. I was so mad because I thought I was getting two DIFFERENT tests.

Your response helped me some, i really appreciate your input. I always hear people saying Answer and FRE are great tests but in my opinion they LOOK cheap. Answer doesnt even have a CAP!

Both answer tests are taken and they both were completely negative, yet that EPT that was taken 2 days beofre AF was due produced that faint line you kinda saw after 8 minutes;)

I guess our next thing to do is Buy another EPT but things are getting expensive.

The answer test gave me 2 tests for the price of one EPT and im one of those people that thinks the more expensive the test, the better it must be.

The two negaticve Answers have really got me down though. I have no period and today i squeezed my nipple and i had this clear/white goo that came out, i got 3 or 4 drops out. Im not sure what that means but im sure it means somethings different with my hormones, just not sure what. I got off birth control pills last month so i guess that could have something to do with it but still. Odd. My periods late too, guess that may be BC pills too. Last year i got off bc pills and immediatly returned to 28 day cycles, who knows!

I just hope and pray these answer tests arent accurate. I hope that EPT test was accurate and it wasnt an Evaporation line. I mean the answer tests dont even have caps and i didnt get evaporation lines on them!

Its so stressful. We will probobly pick up an EPT tommorrow but with all these tests, were starting to run low on $$$ hehe.

When i do have a child i can tell them "we started spending every penny on you before you even existed!"

Thanks so much for your response, i read it aloud to my husband, were both alittle down right now from the negative answer test.
