I'm not expecting O until 17th, but my cycles have ranged from 28-34 days...although usually closer to 31.
I had fertile CM on day 13, way before I expected any. It was there at 10:30, gone by lunchtime. DH and I did not BD the day or two before, so I know I wasnt confusing it for anything else. My OPKs are still coming out negative, although todays was very close to a positive, just a *shade* lighter than the control line. Ive now had three months out of six where Ive had fertile CM twice in a cycle, once around day 13 or 14, then again around day 16 or 17. Any ideas? Can I be ovulating twice, or even ovulating at all when the OPK is -? This is the first month we've used OPK, as we werent willing to spend the money on them until you gals pointed me to the stick ones that are inexpensive.
Any advice is welcome, we are trying for a girl, so the rabbit method isnt what we want, and Im worried we will goof up on months like this if that was actually ovulation. Im totally confused.

P.S. What is the Shuttles method? I looked on the internet a few weeks ago for info and found nothing.

The Shettles Method (not shuttles, maybe why you didnt find anything?) is the method Dr. Shettles found that helps you concieve the sex you prefer. Its based on timing intercourse 3 days before O for girl, and at the time of O for boy. Even if you dont care what sex you get, its an amazing book for general charting and cycle knowledge. I highly recommed it. Theres a lot more to it then just timing, if you want more info feel free to email me and I can share what I know...but getting the book is probably best.
