I have been trying to use OPKs after Oing to see if they detect PG. Has anyone tried this?

I am 7 dpo and it looks like the line on the OPKs are getting darker. Do most people always have a faint line or do some people get only the reference line sometimes? Tell me what kinds of results you have gotten with OPKs post Oing, Please! Thank you!!!

I left the same response down below to a similar question. I'm 12 dpo, tested neg w/ a FRER this am, but I started having identical symptoms as my last pg 3 days ago. I opted to try OPK and yesterday got a faint line and today it was definitely darker but not quite as dark as the control line. I'll post a link as to why this can work for some women. Good luck!

Hi Melissa,

I read the article, very interesting. I am just confused on something. Is there always 2 lines on OPKs or is it just me? Any ideas?

I'd like to know the answer to that myself. When I took one of the tests yesterday it was a complete neg, no line or anything. I did't see a line on that one until I pulled it out again today. But then when I tested again today it came up right away and was noticably darker. From what I've read the change in color from day to day means more than if the line is present at all. Just my opinion, though, would like to know for sure. I've never tried them for ovulating before.

mine is about 50% of the control line so still neg. So sad. I am just 7 dpo, so maybe its ok.

I tested using an OPK this morning. I'm 9dpo and saw a light line. Maybe about 50% lighter than the control line. Not sure if it means anything. I might break down and test with a HPT later this morning as I peed in a cup. Trying to be strong but don't know if i can handle it since I have 6 HPTs upstairs.

Goodluck!

Mine hasn't been any darker than 50% either, so I'm thinking at this point is either a bad sign or proof that this isn't a smart way to test. I guess we'll all find out soon!

I broke down and tested and got a BFN. I just had to see what the corresponding result would be on a HPT. My hopes aren't really dashed as I feel 9dpo is really quite early to test but now I can relax and stop thinking about it. I plan on testing again with an HPT on Tuesday. Goodluck!
