I was wondering how many of you ladies (if any) have decided to stop charting, temping, and using the CBEFM (if you use it)?
In ask because I'm extremely tired of being so disappointed every time AF shows. This month I was 2 days late (never tested..trust me it was hard!) and just woke up to it while I was away on a business trip.
I'm thinking of just stopping all of the temping etc and just trust God to let it happen? I want a child very very badly- I truly believe that's my calling in life is to be a mother. However, I've been wondering should I let myself relax and enjoy the fact I've lost 85 lbs and counting and can fit into designer jeans now? I've wanted to see if I could lose even more weight and get into a normal range of weight and no longer be obese.
I've been fat my entire life...not just fat but really morbidly obese, so now that I'm actually in a semi reasonable range of weight clothes, make-up etc have become so much more appealing, but I've been worried about going to the gym, will that screw up my cycles? They used to tell me in High school that if you run or began sports etc that it could delay your period? (does that sound right?)
I hope that this doesn't sound incredibly selfish or vain? I've also considered really getting back into school. I've stopped going due to work and student loan stuff...but I really feel like it's the best thing for my DH and I financially that I have my degree.
I'm not saying prevent pregnancy. I'm just pondering about dropping all of the gadgets and methods and just let God control the situation? Sorry if its TMI but sex really is much more satisfying if we're doing it because we WANT to as opposed to HAVING to. LOL.
Has anyone else felt these kinds of things? Did you end up conceiving? or feel better after letting God control it?

If it makes you feel any better, I think a lot of doctors recommend not temping and just letting things happen naturally in their own time. I know I have been told by a doctor to stop temping and several of my friends received the same advice. When questioned, the doctors indicated that temping causes stress and performance anxieties, etc. I, however, am addicted to temping because of my irregular cycles. I like being able to predict when my period is going to come. That was the reason I went on the pill in the first place.
I think it is important for you to take care of yourself first (your health and your education) so that you will be in a better position (physically and economically) to support a pregnancy when it comes along, so I don't think that those things are selfish at all.
If you are worried about physical activity screwing up your cycles, then I would recommend continuing charting as you start your exercise program so that you can see if it makes a difference. Are your cycles regular now? Were they regular before you lost 85 lbs? If your weight loss didn't affect your cycles, I expect that the activity will not either, but if it does, it will probably be only for a limited time.
Good luck!
Thanks a bunch for the replies. I appreciate knowing I'm not the only person that feels this way!
Thanks again.
