My cycle the first month I got off of BCP was at least 33 days, if not longer. (I got a BFP, but I wasn't as far along as I thought I had been, so apparently, it could have been my cycle was going to be more like 37 days)

Regardless, if I hadn't gotten my BFP, my cycles tend to be very long. Don't give up, I know it's hard because we don't get as many chances to try as someone who has a shorter cycle. But it can happen. I didn't O until day 21 of my cycles usually, so don't give up. We even used lube. and it didn't appear to have an effect on the sperm count of hubby or anything. So I say if you don't feel you have enough CM, you can use pre-seed if you have it, and if you don't, we used spit or astroglide to no ill effects. It will still work, I will say I have read that KY is the worst offender for sperm, so avoid that at the very least, if you need to use lube.

I have a friend that had 55 day cycles and doctors told her she could try to temp, but she probably wouldn't O. It turns out that's just the way her body is. She didn't O until day 41 of her cycles. It took a while, but even she got her BFP eventually.

Again, I know it's hard, but you have to relax. Relaxing is the best thing you can do for you and your future little bean.

My cycles are 35-37 days long, too. Yes, it feels like our cycles are forever, but it helps to just make peace with it since there isn't much that you can do about it. Like the pp said, stressvcan wreak havoc, so please try not to compare yourself to everyone else. Best of luck to you!

Stress and anxiety can cause delay of O which can mean a longer sometimes MUCH longer cycle than normal. I am currently on CD127 so don't feel quite so bad about 35-45 days. Before this cycle my first two off BC were 52 and 45 so try not to stress too much about your cycles. If they get to the point where you think something is wrong like you have a hormone imbalance or something then go to the doctor. I need to I just haven't gotten the chance. HTH! Good Luck!

I just posted a message in the hugs/vents cycle almost identical to yours! You are so not alone! Like you I am so sick of anticipating when I will O. And like you my cm was fertile a few days ago, now nothing, yet no O. I have had long and unpredictable cycles since quitting the pill in April. I am only on my fourth cycle even though it's been 6 months.

I think what's worse than the long cycle length is having NO IDEA when O will occur, at least people who have regular cycles can try when O actually occurs. I am sure you agree! I feel like okay, so if I knew I was going to O on cd 25 that would be okay, at least I can plan to bd around this time.

I feel your frustration and I need similar advice to yours. Here's what I'm going to do. I have a doc appt in Nov. and I will just relay all this info. to her. I also am taking things for my cycle, which I'm not sure how much they are really helping, vitex and b6. Are you charting? I just wanted to let you are not alone and I know exactly what you mean about not feeling "normal". Let me know if you find anything out.

I used to have the special 28 day cycles and still have trouble getting pg and when I did it resulted in an m/c. Following the m/c my cycles started lengthening the cycle before this one was approx 32 days and this cycle that I got my bfp I didn't ovulate until cd24. Keep trying and baby dust. I understand that frustration of everything off a 28 day cycle because I got my bfp got my script for bloodwork on a

Ahh, it's such a relief knowing that I'm not the only one with longer cycles!
