Hello! I just started posting over at the TTCYFC board, but saw your post and can relate!! My best friend makes little comments whenever I bring up my ttc too! My favorite was, "well, is there something wrong with you?" Hmm.... I don't know why some people see it as taboo. I have just chalked it up to be that some people just don't know what to say. Either way, GL, and lots of Baby Dust!!

Hmm maybe she is going through some thing that u may not be aware of, why don't u sit down with her and ask her if there is anything goin on if she asks u why just simply tell her that she seem bothered by what ure going through, approach to her in nicer way where she doesn't feel confronted. Hth good luck

My bff is the same way. In fact we just about no longer talking partially due to this. (10 yrs of baggage to much to deal with anymore)

Anyhoo, she constantly makes comments about her undisciplined 3 yr old son, like are you sure you want a boy? He's driving me crazy, your so lucky to have girls. This is all she'll say. Nothing about me TTC at all. She's even made a couple of comments "like my bbs hurt, I hope that doesn't mean anything." "I was a day late, it almost scared me. " Hello? I'm ttc here, not happening yet

It's funny - I just started reading the Conception Chronicles & at the beginning of the book they talk about how friends fall into 3 groups - the inner circle: those you can share intimate details about ttc & will know every little thing about what's going on; the fringe: those who know you're ttc, but aren't the ones who you'll talk about the details or about doctor appt's; and the outer circle: those who don't even really know you're ttc.
