Anyone else RH - ?????

Hi girls. I was just wondering how many of us are RH - out there. I am. I found out about 7-8 years ago. Have you talked about this with your doctor? We haven't really discussed it much. I'm assuming we'll talk about it after I get pregnant. I have a SIL who is an RN and she said I will need to get a series of shots throughout my pregnancy and after the birth. Does that sounds about right?

You will need Rhogam shots at certain points during your pregnancy, after the baby is born, and (God forbid) if you ever have a m/c. Typically you only get a shot after the baby is born if s/he is RH+, but I was reading on this board that some doctors are recommending a shot even if the baby is RH-. I would ask about that, when the time comes.

Tammy --

You didn't get a second shot because your son is RH-. You only need the second shot if you give birth to an RH+ baby.
