Just curious if anyone had low progesterone and what was done about it? Does anyone know if the OTC progesterone creams work at all? Thanks in advance.

Yes...I've had low progesterone. My doc put me on progesterone suppositories, which I took the last 2 cycles. Unfortunately, for me, the side effects have been too bad...though I think most people have no problems with them. This cycle, my doc has me on Clomid, which will actually help progesterone levels, too, as it will *hopefully* cause a really good Ovulation...and after O I'm planning to use progesterone cream (Emerita) that comes highly recommended by my friend who is an OB/GYN nurse practitioner. I do think the creams can be very effective...I hope. And thankfully, I've had NO side effects from the Clomid!

Have you had your levels checked? The good news is that even if they are low...there are things that can be done to help!

Good luck!

I haven't had mine checked yet, and I'm afraid my drs will laugh me out of the office because I've been pregnant years before. I just think now it's possible that my hormones are outta whack since having my last baby and then being on the pill again. I've been off the pill 4 cycles so far, so I figure I will wait a bit longer before asking the drs to check. I have some symptoms of it though, fatigue, weight gain, spotting before my period...and some others. I know they can be symptoms of anything really. We'll just have to wait and see. Thanks again!
