Hi ladies.

I've posted here a couple of times and don't know why I didn't find you all sooner! I never realized how many women/couples are going through the same thing!

I am looking for ladies out there who are TTC and have diabetes. I would like to share thoughts (aggrevations) on it. I visit my team of doctors regularly and have good blood sugar control...well did but now I started slacking as my frustration grew. I need help getting out of this slump because I know it is better for me and my future children...if that ever happens!!

Thanks!

I don't have diabetes now, but many members of my family do. I have been concerned about my potential, but have always tested in the normal range for fasting blood tests. My cycles have always been long, and I know that PCOS can be caused by insulin resistance. I have been going to a fertility specialist, but so far, he has ruled PCOS out for me. The interesting thing is that my husband has diabetes (Type 1). Our RE was concerned that his sperm count may be affected by the diabetes, but fortunately he has checked out fine. I know that stress plays a major role in my husband's control. So we try and keep that to a minimum and eat well. Of course that is easier said than done.

Good luck in ttc.

Hi Jen,

I don't have diabetes now, but if I get pg again, I'm very likely to get gestational diabetes. I did with my dd 2 years ago, and was diagnost with it early in my last pg. (Ended in MC at 19 weeks)

I try to stick with the diet even when not pg, so I can relate a little.
