That said, here's my update from Friday's apt. Well, the office was running a little behind due to some mtg. in the morning. My Dr., for one, was no pleased about this. It was so cute though, when she came in the room with me and DH I'm not sure who was more excited - her or us. She was so happy that we'd conceived, knowing what we'd gone through. It was a great feeling. We talked about my overall feelings, headaches, m/s I had, and such. I told her about how DH can make the baby move by putting his hand on me, and she laughed. She thought that was cute. She checked me over and said things look good. Then the best part - we got to hear the baby. I cried when I heard that lovely heart beat. We had a very very strong heart beat at 158. It was so relieving to hear. She did the usualy vaginal culture, urine sample, and blood samples. Gave me my little welcome pak - couple of magazines, coupons, and a changing pad with some more coupons and a small starter/sample of formula. The changing pad is so darn cute. We also talked about my not being able to take my pre-natals and she wasn't concerned. She gave me a script for folic acid and said that should be fine. She told me about the other tests and things that would be done at different points in my pregnancy, and how towards the end they will want me to take it easy and will be monitoring me more closly since DS was 4 wks. early. I'm so happy. Things went great.
Also, since my Dr. is changing offices, she let us know where she'll be going now. She'll be closer. Actually, she'll be right in the hospital where I'll deliver. How awsome is that. I'm definately changing over with her. I like my Dr. a lot. I probably won't get an u/s till about 20 wks., unless I really want one then they can make up a medical excuse for me to have more than one (so my insurance will cover it). I'm just glad there are no problems warranting them now - with DS I'd already had 2 at this point from medical scares.
So, all seems well, and I'm feeling great. We took DS to Chuck-E-Cheese after the apt. He wasn't there, we weren't sure how long it would be, but he'll definately be at the next one. Well ladies, thanks for sharing with me. You gals are great.

I am soooo glad things went so good for you. Your DR sounds awesome and super nice and caring! I am sure this PG will be very good and full-term! Everything sounds great! When is your next appt?
Sheree
If I remember correctly, my next apt. is April 24, so I should be almost 15 wks.
Sheree, I don't think I'd mind if this one was a little early too. It gives me more time to get in shape for the Marine Corp. ball Nov. 9. ;) DS was perfectly fine at 4 wks. early, so I don't think I'd mind so much, as long as baby is perfectly healthy.
Again, thank you all for your support and kindness.
