Basal temp is affected by the weather???

Hi gals!

I'm so confused...
How much the weather affects our basal temperature measured in the morning?
The time changed where I live here, from last cycle to this one.
It was cold, now It's warm.

My temps are elevated, but I had some unsatisfying sleep many days, woke up earlier or later cuz DD called me in the middle of the night / beginning of the day... Anyway...

If everything was fine, my chart would be promising, but in this inconsistency, he is not reliable, so I can't get my hopes up.

Maybe the hot days are responsible for taking my temps up?

Any help would be really appreciated

Lua,

I have been wondering the same thing. This is my first month charting and my chart is a mess. We have had some really cold weather lately, the first night I didn't realize how cold it was going to get and did not turn on the heat and it was very chilly the next morning and I think it had an effect on my temp.

Jenny, do you have any insight into weather effecting bbt?

Any help would be great!

Cathleen

Ok, things I found out there (anyone feel free to talk about it, validate or drop it)

The basal body temperature chart (BBT) records the temperature of the body on waking. It is called basal because it is measured at a time when the body is deeply rested and the body's metabolism and temperature is at its baseline. A woman's basal body temperature rises after she has ovulated, and begins to produce progesterone.

Upon waking, place a mercury/fertility thermometer underneath the arm for 10minutes. This must be done after a minimum of 3hours uninterrupted sleep, and preferable at roughly the same time each morning.

THIS PARTICULAR WAY OF TAKING THE TEMPERATURE ENSURES THAT THE CORE BODY TEMPERATURE IS RECORDED, REGARDLESS OF ANY CHANGE OF LOCATION OR WEATHER. (YAY :))

If, on the weekend for example, you are taking your temperature later, please make a note of this. Also note if alcohol was taken the night before, or you had a particularly restless night.

You could be going triphasic lua, it looks good! ambient temperature
and sleep quality affects your temps alightly, but i wouldnt say in such a neat
organized pattern as your chart is showing. I think you are probably
doing just fine!! see what tomorrow's temp brings!

OMG, Now I'm nervous, really LOL!

Let's just see what goes. Last month I had a promising dip at 8dpo, but turned out nothing.
If I get triphasic, with no pg, I'll just believe to have a chance in pg when it looks anovulatory LOL!

Tks for replying.

No I don´t! I have to buy one ASAP!

Today i can´t stand myself so bad humor I have.
I´m ready to POAS cuz nothing today can make me even more miserable! LOl. Serious...

I´m in daylight saving time... Waking up at same time as before (In practical life, an hour earlier, right?)
What should I do? Temp correct?
