I also posted this on clomid/ovulation induction board but thought I'd try here also.

I have a BBT question. My temps are up over the last five days (have risen from last week's 97.5 to 98.2 today) but I'm worried the rise in BBT is because it's been cold and I've been sleeping with a comforter and not because I O'ed. My temp has risen consistently but I'm still freaked out. I really want to O!!

I didn't O last month on 50 mg of Clomid and am now on 100 mg, cd 18. Let me know what you all think - I can't find any literature on the effects of a comforter!!

It may be difficult to tell what's happening this cycle since you had a behavior change around the same time as potential ovulation. If your house was about the same temp as before then the comforter could raise your temp a little. If your house is colder, the comforter might not really raise the temp much. Or you may have O'd, that would have been about CD 13, about the right time I think. The best thing to do is try to keep the house at the same temp the whole cycle or at least through O and try to use the same coverings. I actually sleep on a heated waterbed so I am careful not to adjust the temp during the month if I am charting.

For the rest of the month, just try to be consistent one way or the other. you may yet have a temp rise to show ovulation. Have you tried OPKs? Thats another way to pinpoint O.

If you don't get your BFP this month, don't give up, just keep going and if you keep charting, jsut be as consistent as you can, especially around potential O time.

Hope this helps,

I am just hoping that my temp wouldn't rise gradually .7 degrees (over five days) due to the comforter. This temping is really hard! As is wondering if I've o'ed.
