I have a dumb question - can you by a basal thermometer at any store or do you have to order one of the internet? I looked at Wal-mart and didn't see any. If you bought yours at a store where did you get it? Thanks.

I bought my first one from KMart and didn't like the screwy temps it was giving me so I bought another one at Eckerd Drugs and love this one. It came with a cd for 30days free trial of TCOYF charting software and the bbt has a light on it which I needed since my bedroom is really dark when I take my temp.

Hope this helps!

I bought mine at Long's Drug. I've had it for four years without changing the batteries. I used it to chart for my first pregnancy (DS is now almost 3) and I put it away for a long time. I just got it out a couple weeks ago to see what my cycle was doing after a d&e.

Thanks. I went to Wal mart again and found one this time. So I started taking my temps. My question now is if my temps are high like 98.4 does that mean I have ovulated. I am on Cycle day 35 and no AF and I keep getting BFNs. Would my temp. be lower if I haven't O'd? I have nothing to compare it to I am just going by what I have read.

I would definitely say that a 98.4 is a post O temperature (unless you are like me and just had a d&c, which left my temps high for about a week and a half because the pregnancy hormones were still there.) Your temp looks great. I would test again every couple days until BFP or AF. Maybe you o'd a bit late and it is taking a while for the hcg to reach the level detectable by the HPT. Good luck!
