BD day before O, am i ok &swelling?

We were BDing every other day or trying to at least because by CD28 with no O we were discouraged, we BDed the day before O and i was curious about the chances of his sperm surviving, i know they can live up to 7 days with good cm but my cm was very creamy around o and watery at times but thicker at others so i was a bit discouraged with it, i kept reading that sometimes creamy cm was too thick and the sperm couldnt make it to the egg.
What are the odds that his sperm lived with the creamy CM?

Also, has anyone else experianced swelling after ovulation, we went to BD this morning and i felt much tighter, he noticed it as well, and afterwards i was a bit sore, this happened last month as well, this isnt a sign of some nasty infection is it?
Its odd to think that sperm can live up to 7 days in the body yet it tries to come out 30 seconds after entering, what a mess it creates! *blush*

No input on the swelling, although I notice "tightness" at different times throughout my cycle when checking CM - DH has never commented on it, however. Could be irritated from an active BD session, maybe.
You'll be happy to know that there was just a studied published in a medical journal saying that "intercourse the day before ovulation is more successful in conception than intercourse the day of ovulation"
So Horray for good timing!!!!!!!
: ) Hope your 2WW goes quickly

I also read that bding the day before is much more successful than the day of O. Sperm can survive for 72 hours in prime conditions. There's really no way of knowing if your creamy CM will be a problem. I would suggest using Robitussin or V8 splash next month if this month doesn't work out. I too get swelling after bding alot, I don't think its from ovulation I think its from too much of a workout. LOL
Good luck

I have had this happen too. Of course, I rushed to my DR insisting that there was an infection. None! He told me to use more lubrication (olive oil or egg whites according to my RE) and to keep up with the Robitussin.
Best of luck! Hoping your tww will go quickly!
