BD every day or every other day?

I read some articles online that BD every other day is better because the sperm quality will be higher that way.

But I also read other articles that saying the active life span of sperm is 12-24 hours, and that of eggs is 6-12 hours, which basically means a couple have to BD every day to get pregnant during the ovulation period.

I'm so confused.

I heard to do it as much as possible around your most fertile time. From what I know "sperm quality" is good no matter what, and remember all it takes is one little swimmer to get the job done. But yes, from what I heard sperm lives in the tract up to 72 hours, so even if you do it once in one day right before your fertile time, and then you ovulate right after you should be "good to go"!
