To BD or Not to BD tonight?

I need some advice...(if it's O.K...)

I've started to use the OPK and have been having watery/eggwhite Cm for a few days now. The OPK were negative for the past 4 days. Today, my Dh and I BD this early AM but I haven't check the OPK yet. (yesterday it was negative when I tested at ~ 5:30pm). I tested the OPK this evening at 9:00pm and it was positive. My question is: Do I have to bed again tonight since I just found out it was Positive eventhough I BD'ed this AM without doing the OPK testing ?(maybe it was negative this AM?)

I am a little excited to be PG...

Thank you very much for any reply,

Dim

Why not! It won't hurt. I have read, however, that it is best to BD just before you O. THat way you don't miss an opportunity. The sperm apparently hangs out for a few days and when you O they just swim after it ...LOL!

My DH and have simply been BDing everyday, just in case. DH is very happy about this...me too actually!

I am C1, CD 17, TTC#1......maybe we are cycle buddies! I should have just O'd but the tsrange thing is I didn't notice it, which I always do. I am not using any OPK's or charting , however.

I am excited to be PG too....good luck to both of us!

Dim,

I do not think you need to bd again since you already this morning. Save his precious sperm for tomorrow, you do not want to diminish the supply :-)

Good luck a + sign is always a good sign. I am a late ovulator so my day (s) won't be until around the week of 9-7 (I ov around cd 21) with a 34 day cycle. I am still waiting, no cm, cp same (low, hard and closed) so I have another week to check and get the + sign but I have the Clearblue easy fert. monitor I just started using this month and it's suppose to be 99% effective in showing the 4 most fertile days up to ov day.

Good luck to us both for June babies!!

Julie,

My cycle varies as well(btwn 26-36) Irregular cycles!!!! I wanted to get the fertility monitor as well but it was too expensive! So the next thing that can tell me I will O was the OPK (as a more affordable price) I hope it'll work for us and maybe we can see each other at the BFP announcement section!!!

P.S. For Mia ,who has replied to me as well, GOOD luck to you too!!!

Hi Dim

Good Luck with this cycle. I hope it ends with another positive, this time a BFP hpt!

I don't think you need to BD again today, but maybe early tomorrow morning. Your DH's swimmers will still be kicking from this morning, so if the eggie glides by they will already be there.

Best of luck to you!

Dim,

You can get the monitor off ebay, that is what I did, I did not want to pay $200.00 either plus the cost of the testing sticks (30 supply box for $50.00) so I bought the monitor off ebay for $125.00 + shipping and bought the sticks at the store. I love it so far, it is suppose to be the most effective thing on the market to detect "actual" fertile days up to ov day. This is our first month ttc #1 and I'm not screwing around, I do not want this whole baby making thing to take a year so I am right on it now hoping to conceive by at least the end of the year!

Good luck again to you. Keep me posted.

I was told by my GYN to start BDing on CD9 every other day until cd16. I thought every other day because sperm count will diminish. Also that way I don't have to pinpoint my actual O. I think sperm can live up to 48-72 hours in the uterus. I do use a OPK but last month it never came out positive. Since TTC I have spent an enormous amount of time and money at CVS. THis is TTC#1, C4, CD10, and by the time CD16 comes around, I'm all BDed out.
