Is Benadryl safe?

... during TTC? Does it change CM like cough syrup? (I don't want changes, my body seems to be working fine now.) And I worry about those couple weeks between ovulation and finding out I'm pregnant. I try to limit caffiene and medicine as much as possible TTC, just in case.

I've got itching, rashes, swelling, from head to toe. It's an allergic reaction to something, I'm sure. I'm allergic to everything. It's probably our new sheets or fabric softener or the two new sweaters I've been wearing like crazy (they're argyle, I'm a dork, I love them!).

It's been getting worse for over a week.

Benadryl is considered safe for preganancy-a category 2.

It is an antihistamine so it may dry up your fertile cervical fluid.

Robitussin contains guafanessin (sp?) which is an expectorant and thins out secretions.

Yep I was going to say it's one of the few things you're allowed to take during pregnancy so TTC should be fine.

Thanks! If it's on the list, it should be fine.

It's not the same ingredient as Robitussin, so not sure if it will affect CM at all. It is on the list for being safe during pregnancy: http://women.webmd.com/pharmacist-11/pregnancy-medicine

I hope you start feeling better, that sounds very itchy!
