Hi all, I just bought some pregnancy tests online from www.accuratepregnancytests.com . I am 11 dpo and I took a test this a.m. and it came back negative. I am expecting my period on Thursday. I don't have any symptoms yet - no sore breasts, no frequent urination, etc. Am I testing too early? When is it commmon for the sore breasts, tiredness, frequent urination, etc.

11DPO is probably too soon, although some women have gotten BFPs that soon. It could be that your body hasn't had enough time to produce enough measurable HCG yet, or the test isn't that sensitive. Many people say to wait until 14DPO, but many don't wait that long. I'm trying to hold out until 15DPO, just because I can't stand to see a BFN. Also, some women don't get BFPs until much later than that.

As for the symptoms, it all depends on the woman. Some have no symptoms before testing positive. Others have all kinds of symptoms.

Good luck!

While these early HPTs are great (detect just 25 mIU), I think they also put us all through a lot of unnecessary turmoil. When taken four days before AF is due, for example, they only accurately detect 50% of pregnancies. Just hang in there and test again at 14 DPO - you'll be much more likely to get an accurate result then. 11 DPO is pretty soon to be testing.

You may not show any symptoms before you ever get a BFP - it's different for everyone. The frequent urination typically begins at 6-12 weeks after conception. The sore breasts... for some women, that can begin shortly after conception. (However, I've been getting sore and enlarged breasts post-O for the last three cycles, so it's not always a tried-and-true sign)
