Oh there you are! Thank goodness! I was beginning to worry about you. How's everything going with the new baby? I know it can be tough, but they sure are beautiful little miracles. I want to hear all about the birth and how everything has been going for ya!
Things are going good for me. My husband got a new job with benefits, YAY! It is a high deductible plan though, and they don't cover infertility. But I did just go in for my annual at my midwife's office. Pap smear was perfect, and I also had my thyroid checked, that's not a problem either. I've been having lots of looooonng cycles, and not really sure if I've ovulated, because I haven't been as good with temping when I was out of town and moving etc... but I have been doing good temping this cycle, but still no sign of ovulation or period... It's really weird... We do want to go to a fertility clinic, but insurance doesn't cover anything, so my midwife is going to let us try clomid for three months(while we save some money), and if that doesn't work, then we'll go in to the fertility clinic to see what more we can do. So that's our plan for now... It's good to hear from you, you'll have to update me on what's going on.
So sorry Cyn, it has been such a rollercoaster. I definately did not have the birth experience I envisioned. Most of the nurses I dealt with were horrible, the anestesiologist was horrible, and it was just a nightmare for most of it. The nurses I had the day Ayden was delivered were hell bent on me having a c-section. To the point of depriving me of everything including ice chips, upping the dose of pitocin I was on which hyperstimmed my uterus, refused to listen to me at all about anything, and even put me in a position which caused Ayden's heartrate to drop. They called my Dr at that point and booked an OR for a c-section on their own. I did however climb every obstacle they threw at me and delivered my baby boy vaginally :-) It was ridiculous, I mean right after he was born 2 nurses were arguing over whether he was born at 6:36pm or 6:38pm. My epidural ran out during the pushing stage and the nurse actually turned around and told me that either I got him out now or I do it without any pain meds because she was not calling the anestesiologist to boost it. My Dr ended up calling for my epi to be boosted after I delivered because he needed to stitch up the episiotomy and I was in a tremendous amount of pain due to my bicornuate auterus trying to expel the placenta and contacting irregularly without any breaks, like one never ending contraction. When the anestesiologist walked in she made me wait so she could check out my crazy uterus. It was horrible.
Ayden however was born pretty much healthy. He did have the cord wrapped 3x's around his neck and I had a velamentous insertion of the cord which is apparently very dangerous for both he and I that was not picked up on until I delivered. My cord was so long and thin that the Dr had to get my placenta out himself. He was afraid to pull on the cord at all, afraid it would break and I would hemmorrage and my uterus was making no progress getting it out. Ayden came out weighing 6lbs 9ozs and he was 21in long :-) Long and skinny just like his daddy.
After getting him home it was apparent pretty quickly that something was wrong. I was breastfeeding, my milk came in and he was still losing weight. The breastfeeding was so painful and I had blisters, it was just horrible. I was so frustrated and crying over it and he was trying to feed every hour on the hour, he was never satisfied and I got no sleep. After a few days we realized he was tongue tied and the hospital missed it. Ayden was 2 weeks old before we could get it fixed. By this time I was pumping but losing my supply and he was on formula. It took over a month to get him back solely on the breast and alot of frustration tears. It all seemed to be calming down and then Ayden developed a bump near his eye and it just grew so rapidly. We spent 4 long days in a children's hospital in Philadelphia, 3.5 hours from where we live. We found out that he has a hemangioma and it had invaded into his eye socket. He's on beta blockers now to shrink it

Wow.... Oh my goodness... I'm so sorry that you've had such a rough experience! That just confirmed my desire to have my midwife and birth at a birth center, where they treat you like a person. That is just sad, I'm so sorry that you had such a horrible experience at the hospital. Oh and breastfeeding, don't get me started there... That is an area where I had a hard time, It just so hard to get established... but I'm glad you pulled through it. And army, that's cool, My husband almost joined, but they wouldn't accept him because he's on a daily medication.
AFM: I just started taking clomid, and so far no side effects except for that I couldn't sleep last night. But I have hope that this will work for us this month, at least i should have a shorter cycle, right? Anyway, it's good to hear from you! I want to continue to be updated too.
Just wanted to check in on you... How are you doing?
I'm doing lol. I get on so rarely Ayden is very needy lol, but he is doing really well, I can't believe he is already 4 months old. I also can't believe that I actually think about wanting another one already lol.
How are things going for you. Drs appts ? New news ?

4 months, wow! Yes, I remember the days when my kids were that young... seems so long ago... Have you heard from Lyn lately? I can't believe that you two have gotten pregnant and had your babies, and I'm still here! TTC! But anyway, I'm pretty frustrated... I thought for sure that O'ed on CD 20, and FF even gave me the CHs, but now they took them away, because I've had neg test after neg test... and I SWEAR that I'm 18 DPO... I'm pretty sure the clomid worked... and my midwife thought I O'ed too... And... my boobs are extra heavy, tender nipples... extra gassy... a couple AF like cramps... but no AF!!! and no +HPT!!! So I don't know what to think! Please feel free to chart stalk me again! I've missed it... hehehe :) What do you think? And I have to decide if I want to just wait it out, or take Provera to start another bleed so I can do clomid again... but I don't want to do that if I'm pregnant... So I don't know what to do... I might ask for a blood test, but my midwife is pretty convinced on the effectiveness of home pregnancy tests...

AF showed yesterday, and I was more crampy than usual... so I wonder if it was possibly a chemical... I don't know... but it was really weird to have that long of time with high temps and no +HPT... Anyway... I'm glad AF showed by itself, so I wouldn't have to decide if I wanted to take Provera or not... So I will be starting clomid again this thursday. Completely understand about your needs of your son to keep you off the computer, I just hope we can still keep in touch! Talk to ya later!
