Big thermometer problem

I am so confussed. On cd16 my thermometer died. (I didn't O yet) I bought a new one yesterday at wal- mart however it reads differently. My old one gave me 4 digits like- 97.27 this new one is only giving me 3 like 97.4

Does this mean the new one is not as accurate?

They both say they are Basal body thermos.

I should've just bought new batteries, but I was being a spaz and couldn't figure out how to change em.

What should I do???

TIA

Switching thermometers mid-cycle can throw your temps off. I'd just get a battery for your old thermometer at least until the end of the cycle (although the new battery might throw the temps off as well). As long as your thermometer is accurate to the tenths place (0.x), then it is accurate enough. The more decimal places a thermometer has, the more accurate it is, but it probably isn't that necessary to chart to such an exactness. If you just want to keep with the new thermometer, just keep in mind when in the cycle you started using it. Since you haven't O'd yet, it isn't that big of a deal. If you are right around O, it might make it difficult to identify a shift.
