Has anyone ever had break through bleeding before?

I am eight weeks and my period is due(if I wasn't pregnant)on the 26th of this month. I called my DR on it and they say not to worry because t is just a little and associate with no severe pain and such. And it is just when you clean yourself after going to the bathroom, not a flow or not bright red...just like the begininng of a period, very light brown.

But I am worried to death and very concerned.

HELP>>>PLEASE>>>>Any advice, experience.

Hi!

When I was 9 weeks with my last pregnancy, I passed bright red clots! I was soooo nervous about it. Of course it happened on a Sat morning when the dr's aren't in! Anyway, I talked to the dr on call and was told to take it easy and it I wasn't having any cramping, which I wasn't that it was probably ok. The bleeding stopped very quickly, then I just soptted a tiny bit that was only noticable when wiping. When the weekend was finally over and I went in to see the dr, everything looked perfect. They discovered that I had a partial previa and said that it could be the cause of the bleeding, but they couldn't say that for sure. Anyway, I have a very healthy little boy now who will be 2 in 2 weeks. Try not to worry too much.

Hi there,

I'm 10 weeks, 2 days today, and I've had three spotting episodes. I had a few days between 5 and 7 weeks (brownish discharge that lasted for three or four days each time) and then some pink spotting yesterday that only lasted one bathroom visit.

I've heard it can be very normal to have spotting in the first trimester. You should always report it to your doctor, but as long as it's not heavy bleeding accompanied by severe cramps it's usually nothing.

Good luck and try not to worry! I'm sure all will be fine.

Try not to worry. Usually brown spotting is nothing to be concerned about. I had it in my 5th week and it lasted for 4-5 days. My doctor said spotting in early pg is common and as long as there is no cramping or bright red blood, there's usually not a problem. I went in for a u/s at 6 weeks just to make sure, and all was well. Try to relax-this happens to lots of women. (check out the june expecting board-there's quite a bit about brown spotting).
