Blocked FTubes?

Hello again,

after another month of high hopes and expectations, AF came on day 27 (never got this far for the past year)with a vengeance! My visit to the ob/gyn didn't give me any hopes either - he gave me an ultrasound and didn't see any signs of cysts, fibres etc. But he told me that my F tubes might be blocked and it wouldn't show on the ultrasound. He said it happens often with mothers with older children because of cells accumulating on the tract. The only way to find out is by a procedure which they put a liquid that shows on an ex-ray and push it through the uterus to see if it goes through the cubes. I was on my fertile days so we could see that ovulation was happening there and then but if that's the case with me my poor egg will have no chance to meet the sperm :( Positive thing is, he said, that sometimes the procedure itself unclogs the tubes and solves the problem.

I don't know what to make of it, all I know is that with my next AF I'll have to undergo through all these tests and procedures to make pregnancy happen - something that I never had to do with my previous pregnancies. I know I was only 23 back then but it's not that I'm too old now, at 32 most women start trying for their 1st one... Sorry for this but I'm feeling a bit low at the moment. Well, here's hoping...

Dont worry, like you said, the procedure itself may inclog the tubes, or you may not even have blocked tubes at all! And even if you do, that doesnt mean its the end. I know that we never want to think of ourselves going through fertiliity procedures, but just now that its not over yet!
