Blood Test Showed Low Progesterone

I had a blood test taken 7 days after period and it was 4.2 does that mean I need a progesterone supplement in order to conceive?

I agree with Lex. That number is normal considering you are pre-O. If you're concerned about low progesterone because of your spotting you need to have the b/w drawn at 7dpo.

No, that is a normal progesterone level for being in the follicular phase of your cycle, meaning you have not ovulated yet. But I'm not a doctor and all doctors seem to go by different numbers, and most measure progesterone 7 days after you ovulate to confirm that you do ovulate and do not have low progesterone. I would call your doctor and ask him/her some questions.
