Body Temp Question
Fri, 04-11-2003 - 11:35am
I am one of those people who is always cold. Especially my fingers and toes. The only time I'm not cold is when it's hot out or really warm inside. My question is, would becoming pregnant change that? I've heard hot flashes can be a symptom of pregnancy what with the temperature rise, but what about just being cold in general? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!--Ericka C9 CD25

Hi Ericka,

I could have written your post! I also was cold ALL the time, unless it was hot outside/inside. Being pg didn't change that for me, until later in my pregnancy. I didn't start being hot all the time until probably 2 months ago, and I'm 33 weeks pg right now. I did have a 'hot flash' once, about 3 months ago, and mentioned it to my dr (I had read about them being common in pg too) but he said that they aren't... being pg would not have caused it, but not to worry about it. So, for me, being pg didn't change that I was cold all the time, until recently...BUT everyone is different and has different symptoms.

Good luck!
