Can I conceive this month after early mc

My period has just finished after 2 weeks. Most likely it was a very early miscarriage, the doctor couldn't see any problem.

Does anyone know if this pushes my whole "schedule" back? (I'm irregular at the best of times :-)

i.e., will there be a typical 3 weeks from the end until the start of the next? Or will it be only 2 weeks because I bled for 2 weeks?

And if we're trying to conceive should we start today or let it be for a week?

Thanks for the advice!

I have heard that you can conceive your very next cycle after a m/c.

I read that alot of doctors say to wait for emotional healing, but that your body is usually able to conceive right away.

Good luck to you!

First off I am so sorry for your loss, I know it is a different experience for every woman but I too had an early miscarriage. You can definately start trying right away if that is what you want. In March of this year I found out I was pregnant. I took two tests the same day and both positive. I took another test the next day and it came out negative, went to birthline and theirs was negative too. About a week later I passed all the tissue from the pregnancy and was not planning on getting pregnant again so early. In April I found out I was pregnant again and I am now 23 weeks along. I would have to say the hardest thing about being pregnant so soon after a miscarriage was the waiting to have another miscarriage. I would not let myself get involved in the pregnancy for fear of losing this one too. I was on pins and needles until about 13 or 14 weeks when I finally decided if God wanted this baby too then I would deal with it but I was going to enjoy every minute of this little life. Good Luck and if you do become pregnant again try not to get lost in your fears, enjoy it while you can.

Thank you, and I hope everything goes wonderfully with your pregnancy!

Thankfully this miscarriage was so early there was never even a positive pregnancy test. I was concerned about why my period was continuing for a second week and getting heavier instead of lighter, so that was the only indication I ever had that there was an attempt at conception. My doctor's advice was that many pregnancies do this sort of miscarriage and many women don't even notice that their periods are heavier than usual.

I've been trying to watch my mucous for signs of fertility, and now I don't know if I was fertile while the bleeding was going on, or if I still have a chance to be fertile before my next period. My cycles are irregular and often short.

But if this month doesn't work out, we'll just keep trying for next month.

Tasha, thanks for such a positive and inspiring message. I too recently suffered an early m/c and started trying again right away. I'm in the dreaded 2WW right now, and feeling really scared about the possibility of getting excited again, only to have my hopes dashed by another early m/c.

I'm glad to know that you're doing so well, and have found a way to deal with the anxiety. Enjoying and celebrating every possible moment of pg is such a great attitude to have. That way if something, God forbid, does happen, at least I will have enjoyed the time I DID have with my baby.

Thanks so much for giving me a new way to look at this.

(((HUGS))) and best of luck!
