I would say that the fact that you found this board means you're ready to start TTC. The first time I was about 99% sure I was ready, but it was hard because none of our friends were in the same place. Now I'm 100% ready for another one, and no longer care that STILL none of them aren't in the same place. You might never feel 100% sure, but once you get that BFP you wll be :)

Hi Jamie, welcome! I just wanted to encourage you and say that's it's also normal to not be 100%. I have wanted kids for as long as I can remember but dh wasn't ready. Now that we are actually are ttc, I had days that I go, "oh my gosh, what are we thinking?" I have a good friend who just had a little one a couple months ago. She and her dh both say that if you aren't scared a little, you're not thinking clearly :) and it's healthily to be nervous. But you will know when you are more ready than not ;) it seemed to just happen for dh one day. gL with your decisions. They're big, scary, exciting, thrilling.

It's completely normal to feel this way! It's natural to feel nervous -this is completely unchartered territory for you! It's scary to think that you're going to be completely responsible for a teeny, tiny being, but once you become a parent everything just seems to fall into place :)

Hi Jamie,
I am also new to this site. I have to say I have a six year old and all the way up until like 3 years ago I was set on having like 3 or 4 kids. I am married but my son is not his blood child. So I want to give him the thrill to be a daddy from day one with the pampers the restless nights and all. And to be quite honest I miss it too (some days) lol. I guess its a woman thing to think about all the money and this and that. My husband makes rather good money, and so do I but yet i still feel as if we are not ready at the bank. Then I also have the feeling of well I have just now got mine off to school, I have time to breath again. Now am I ready to start all over again. lol
So should I say hunny I think what you are going through is perfecly normal!!!!!!

Completely normal. I had my IUD removed a month ago so I could start TTC; it was all I wanted. Took months to convince DH it was a good idea. The day after I had it out I started second guessing myself. As with PP I also have a six year old. But he and I watched his baby videos the other day and I totally remember why I want another.

It is scary, your whole life is going to change. But it is the best thing in the world.
