CD 20 or later too late to o on Clomid?
| Wed, 05-20-2009 - 12:30pm |
Hi, ladies!
Y'all are experts, so can you give me some advice?
DH and I (28) are TTC #1 after a m/c last June.

I don't know!! I have an OB appt myself, tomorrow, for re: late ovulation and too-light periods.
But I must say - girl, you've got the fertile CM going on!!!!
Jennie,
What do you mean by "too light"? I, too, have what I consider light AF (in comparison to what I hear from other women). AF for me is normally 3 days, 4 max (if its 4 it would just be spotting). The three days are pretty light to medium and nothing heavy and I really never even get cramps (although I did when I got AF last cycle - 1st Clomid cycle if that makes a difference).
I'm so horrible though with reading up on things online and now I'm convinced I have a thin uterine lining.

Too light as in, if it were all together at once, I'd need not even 2 tampons -
Spotting started Sat at 4pm and by Monday morning my AF was gone, except for intermittant spotting that day.
It was "light flow" at MOST on Sunday.
With the exception of overnight Sat-Sun I could have gotten away with nothing if I visited the potty a few times more during the day.
I don't EVER have to use a tampon... EVER.

Hi Kara,
I was under the impression that the date of O doesn't matter so much as the length of LP matters... I think you're find to O any day, as long as LP is a bare minimum of 10 days...
I would think that if you were to O on CD22, and AF showed up on CD28, then you have a problem (one that should be fixable with progesterone)...
Quick clomid question for you... what kind of monthly tests is your doctor doing while you're on clomid?

I also o late, normally between cd 19-22. My lp is normal at 13 days, but I was wondering why it is considered bad to o later in your cycle. Did your Dr. tell you specifically why it is not good? I would love to know about this, as I was completely unaware, and I am now on my 8 month of ttc.
Good luck, and baby dust!
