Anything is possible. You could absolutely be pregnant but not have enough HCG in your system to be accurate on a test. You could also have ovulated later in your cycle for a number of reasons which will throw off when to expect AF and than there are the random annovulatory cycles. Unfortunately, we all go through a fluke cycle every once in a while...I hit 41 days one time and never hit past my usual 33 again. HCG should double every 48-72 hours so I would say to hold off and test again in a couple days. Good Luck!
